Safeguarding
How this service is built around children's safety, what we do, and what your teacher does. In force from 27 September 2026, issued by ArcGabriel Ltd, and reviewed whenever the service changes.
If a child is in immediate danger, call 999. If you are worried about a child on this service, report a concern — no account needed, and a person reads it.
Who is responsible for what
This matters more than anything else on the page, so it comes first.
Your teacher runs their own dance school. They are self-employed, they decide who they teach and how, and they are the safeguarding lead for their own school. They are not our employee and we do not supervise their teaching. If you have a concern about how a class is run, your teacher is the first person to raise it with.
We provide the software they run it on. We are answerable for the controls described below — who can get into a room, what is recorded, what data is held, and making sure there is always a way to raise a concern that does not go through the person you are worried about. If you have a concern about the platform, or one you cannot raise with your teacher, it comes to us.
The live class room
A room is opened by a booking, and nothing else. A dancer reaches a class because that class is booked for them; there is no link that lets a stranger in, no public room list, and no way to find a class you are not part of. Someone who is not the teacher or a booked dancer does not get a locked door — they get a page saying the address does not exist.
Nothing is recorded. Video and sound go directly between the people in the class and are not stored by us. There is no recording feature switched on, no archive, and nothing for us or anybody else to watch later.
The room closes. A class room opens shortly before the class and closes after it. It is not a space that stays open.
Teachers, and what we check
We ask every teacher who applies for a safeguarding declaration, and where they say they hold a certificate — an enhanced DBS in the UK, or their own country's police clearance — we ask to see it before their studio opens. We also ask about their qualifications and their insurance.
We tell you what we were told, and we say that is what we are doing. Where a teacher's page shows a qualification or a check, it shows it as something the teacher provided, not as something we have independently verified with the awarding body or the police. We think saying so is more useful to you than a badge that implies more than it means. If a check matters to you, ask your teacher to show you the certificate — they have it.
Contact between adults and children
A child does not have a private channel to their teacher on this service, because a child does not have one at all. Messaging runs between the teacher and the account holder, and for a dancer under 18 the account holder is their guardian. The guardian is not copied in on a conversation with their child — the guardian is the person the teacher is talking to. That is how the data is shaped rather than a setting anybody can turn off. An adult dancer who registers themselves holds their own account and messages their teacher directly.
What we hold about a child
The least we can work with: a display name, that they are under 18, who their guardian is, and what they have booked. No date of birth, no home address, no photographs of students, and no card details — payments go through Stripe and never touch our servers. The full account is in how your data is handled.
Raising a concern
Report a concern is on every page of this service, needs no account, and does not go to your teacher. A person at ArcCreativeHub reads every report.
We are not an emergency service and we are not a substitute for one. If a child is at risk, the people who can act are the police on 999, your local authority's children's services, or the NSPCC helpline on 0808 800 5000 — and you should go to them directly rather than waiting for us. Those routes are listed on the report page. Where we are told something that should be with one of them, we will say so, and where the law requires us to pass something on, we will.
Keeping this honest
Every statement on this page describes something built into the software, and it is checked against the software when either changes. If you find a line here that does not match what the service does, tell us at hello@arccreativehub.com and we will fix the service or fix the page.
