Apply as a founding teacher

About ten minutes. One page, then your card. £29 a month if you are approved, everything included. Every question is required unless it says otherwise.

You and your teaching

The name your students already call you. It is what families see in the directory.

As many as you like, separated by commas — families search by place, so a teacher who covers three towns should say all three. Up to eight.

If you teach only online, tick this and leave the towns box empty.

Not on the list

If you are approved, this one goes on your public page, marked as your own answer — for a teacher whose certificates are in a box somewhere it is often the line that speaks loudest. There is a switch in your studio to take it off.

If you hold no formal qualifications, write "none". It is not a reason we say no, and it never has been. This answer is for us, while we read your application; it is not published. Once you are open you list what you hold properly in your studio — one row each, with the option of sending the certificate — and that list is what families read.

Not holding it does not stop you being approved. Many teachers hold it through IDTA, ISTD or RAD membership.

We do not ask for your policy number: we cannot check one, and a number we cannot check would only look like proof. The expiry date is what lets your profile show families that your cover is current, and stop showing it the day it lapses. We will remind you before then.

Anywhere a person can see that you exist and teach: an Instagram, Facebook or TikTok profile, your own website, your studio's page, or a class listing. One is enough. Paste the whole address, like https://instagram.com/yourstudio or https://www.yourstudio.co.uk — a handle on its own, such as @yourstudio, is not something we can open.

Who you are

As it appears on the photo ID you upload below.

A photograph or scan of the certificate itself. PDF, JPG, PNG or HEIC, up to 8MB. We check it, record the number, the issue date and the outcome, and then delete the image: the DBS Code of Practice asks recipients to keep the record of a check rather than a copy of the certificate.

Proving you are who you say you are

These two documents are how we know a real, named person is behind this application. We ask every teacher for them, and we ask for them before you are listed rather than after, because a check that happens after a parent has already booked is not a check.

What we accept: a passport, driving licence or national identity card for the first, and a bank statement, utility bill or council tax letter from the last three months for the second. A clear phone photograph is fine. PDF, JPG, PNG or HEIC, up to 8MB each.

Your documents are stored privately, are never shown in the directory or to families, and are read only by the person reviewing your application. If we do not take your application forward, they are deleted along with your card details.

Passport, driving licence or national identity card.

A bank statement, utility bill or council tax letter from the last three months.

Teacher Agreement

Version TA-3. This exact text is stored with your signature and stays in your account.

As a teacher on ArcCreativeHub I agree that:

1. The legal name I give is my own, and the details in my application and profile are true.
2. I hold responsibility for my own teaching: my qualifications, my insurance, and my compliance with the law where I teach.
3. I will respect the platform's safeguarding shape. Accounts for dancers under 18 are held by their guardians, guardians can always read the chat between home and studio, and I will not move conversations with young dancers to private channels outside the platform.
4. My safeguarding declaration below is true, and I will tell ArcCreativeHub if it changes.
5. My subscription is 29 pounds a month, everything included. I can cancel at any time and keep my studio to the end of the paid period.
6. ArcCreativeHub may suspend a studio while it investigates a safeguarding concern. Suspension pauses visibility, never deletes my records.
7. Data on the platform is handled as the privacy page describes, and my students' data belongs to the families it describes.
8. ArcCreativeHub — its software, its design, the way it is structured and worded, and the way it works — belongs to ArcGabriel Ltd. My subscription is a licence to use it to run my school for as long as I pay for it, and nothing more: no part of it becomes mine, and nothing I can see, read, export or download from it gives me any right in it. What is mine stays mine — my teaching, my words, my photographs, and my students' records.
9. I will not use my access here to build a rival of it. Being a teacher on ArcCreativeHub shows me the inside of a working system. I will not use that access, or what I learn through it, to copy, recreate, reverse-engineer or have somebody else build a competing platform, and I will not pass what I see here to anyone else for that purpose. This holds while I am a teacher here and for twelve months after I leave. It does not restrict my teaching: I remain free to run my school, to teach wherever I like, and to use any other platform I choose.

Your card

The next screen is Stripe. Your card is stored, not charged — the £29 is only ever taken if we say yes.

Founding and invited teachers are sometimes given a code. We check it now, so a mistyped one is found here rather than at your first invoice. It is applied when your studio opens — nothing is charged today either way.

Why have I had to fill in an application form

Because of who is on the other side of it. Teachers on ArcCreativeHub teach children as well as adults, often in a room where no parent is watching, and the parent choosing you has nothing to go on but what a website tells them. A directory that lets anybody in tells them nothing.

So this form does three jobs. It establishes that you are real, which is what the identity documents are for. It lets us validate what you say about yourself, which is what the qualifications, the link and your own words are for. And it records your safeguarding position in writing, signed and dated, so there is an answer on file rather than an assumption.

The result is the thing that makes a place here worth having. Every teacher in this directory has been read by a person, has proved who they are, and has put their name to the same agreement you have just read. When a parent finds you here, that is what they are trusting, and it is the same standard for everyone, including the teachers who have been doing this for thirty years.

We are looking for a real teaching practice and a straight answer on safeguarding. We are not marking your writing, and a gap in your qualifications is not a reason we say no.

What happens to my payment whilst my application is under review

Nothing is charged today. Your card is stored with Stripe, our payment provider, and it is not charged while your application is being read.

If your application is successful, your subscription starts and the first £29 is taken then. If we say no, the card is deleted from Stripe and you are never charged. There is no deposit, no fee for applying, and nothing to cancel.
